Social Media Censorship
I noticed during the election cycle of 2020 that Facebook and Twitter started really cracking down on things that they deemed fake news or not factual. Well that’s okay when the things being posted are obviously not true, i.e. Bill and Hillary Clinton being aliens and things like that. It got a little bit disturbing to me when things that I knew to be factual were being blocked by Facebooks fact checkers and Facebook and Twitter had removed. Then I started noticing that most of the things being blocked and removed were pro Republican or anti Democrat.
That’s when I saw an opportunity to create my own social media platform www.IDOBBINATE.com. I watched as Facebook and Twitter dug themselves deeper and deeper. Facebook and Twitter allowed the NY Times article about the Trump tax returns, but they blocked and removed stories about Hunter Biden working in Ukraine and Hunter Biden getting a 1.5 billion dollar loan from a Chinese National or Hunter Biden having a drug problem. All these things easily fact checked and all of these things that would have hurt Joe Biden’s presidential bid.
All of this blocking and removing of posts is fine when it’s benefiting your political candidate, but when the platform that is doing the blocking and removing of posts is literally big enough to swing an election, it can become a REAL problem. What happens when the posts that they’re blocking or removing would warn the public or inform the public of alleged child rapist Jeffrey Epstein? Or how would you feel if the posts that they’re blocking or removing are informing or warning us of the rise of the next Hitler?
This needs to be nipped in the bud now before it does become a huge problem. That’s why we created an alternative platform IDobbinate.com. We’re founded on free speech. We don’t block or remove posts, no matter your opinion provided what you’ve posted is legal and age appropriate for the audience of that area of the site. We advertise our platform across the major social media platforms asking questions like how important is free speech to you and we get a lot of hatred and horrible responses. Again, platforms like Facebook and Twitter yield the power to swing an election, swing public opinion on a celebrity, or even block necessary news from getting in front of consumers.
Media organizations, be it news organizations or social media, are no longer unbiased organizations and they’ve developed a cult like following. A large segment of the population have become sheeple and follow and believe everything that they’re being told by the mainstream media and social media organizations.
Seemingly with the advent of smartphones, people have lost the ability for critical thinking. Their brains have been reprogrammed to believe and think whatever the screen in their hands tells them to believe or think. Which is why we’ve had the year that we’ve had this year. They’ve told us to hide in our houses and allow our neighbor’s businesses and livelihoods to collapse from a virus that has a 99.7% survivability. (Is there a virus out there and have people unfortunately died from it? Yes. Should we decimate the economy and our neighbor’s livelihoods for it, no.). We’ve allowed the election to be stolen by Joe Biden. (You can’t tell me that someone who promises to raise corporate and private taxes, someone that can’t speak clearly without a teleprompter, and someone that promises to remove “assault weapons” from 393 million legal gun owners in America got more votes than any other candidate ever.)
We really have to reign these companies in. We can’t let corporations bend the will of the people to the point where they can become dictators and literally change the political and socioeconomic landscape at their will. I assure everyone reading this, IDobbinate.com will always be run responsibly and will be a platform of free speech by the users of it.
